Teaching Methodology of History Studies

The didactics of history studies is primarily focused on facilitating historical knowledge, primarily in schools but also in the extracurricular field. Over the course of studies students will learn fundamental didactic terms, theories, and models in history. They will also learn to independently implement these in planning, conducting, and evaluting history lessons, at least in principal. Particular focus is placed on the use of new media and multimedia for teaching and learning processes as well as the inclusion of the aspect "technical cultures."

Didactics of Social Sciences

Teacher training students in history are allowed to attend seminars offered by the Department of History and those by the Didactics of Social Sciences Teaching and Research Unit. More information is available on its homepage.
